Doll Quilt Progress.

It's taken me longer than I was expecting to finish this project but I've almost finished the quilt top. Remember this pic?

House of Turquoise
It was this that gave me the idea...

I even love the white bird. (still wondering if I should add the bird yet) I wanted to add more colour though, and so this is what I've got so far...

After putting it all together I realised that it was a little small so I'm adding a couple more rows.
It's made up of a standard drunkards path block. It has been a little fiddly to make as each block is about 5cm square (2 inches) but the finished product was worth it.
So what do you think? I would love to hear if you have any suggestions.

  1. I love it - I can absolutely believe it was fiddly but, as you said, worth it! What about a bird, but in a brighter colour?
    Happy stitching!
