I finished up this commissioned quilt a little while back for a new born little girl named Leah. It was so much fun to make and the colours are so sweet for a little girl.
The back is personalised with appliquéd letters which I machine stitched along the edges.
If you think this looks familiar its actually a moda bake shop pattern that I've used before.
The scrappy binding saved me after that mishap I had with the "just too short" binding. I used some of the jelly roll strips that had a white background and I couldn't even find the section when I was trying to show hubby later that day. I really love the floral binding on this quilt. It just looks so adorable peeking around from the sides when looking at the back of the quilt.
I hope little Leah can enjoy it for many years to come.
Fabric: Lovely by Sandy Gervais
100% cotton fabric and batting.

Lovely quilt! I love the name applique, I was actually going to do the same thing on my latest finish, but I forgot!! Love the colors, too.
ReplyDeleteLovely quilt and colour choices!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love how you've personalized the back. What a great idea.
