I did it, I started my first hand embroidered project. I just couldn't resist the gorgeous free transfer that Amy supplied. I mean look at that cutie!
I am really enjoying it. Every now and then though, I have to look up a video on you tube to see if I'm doing it right. I've already got my dresden plate ready for the embroidered centre, just like Amy. (always was a follower :P)
So when nap time comes today, you'll find me in front of a good girly movie with a cuppa tea close by and this embroidery hoop in hand.
32 minutes left and counting...

It's looking great! We will have to compare notes when we get finished! The spotted background is going to be perfect! And those scissor/snips...very cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks Suz! I have to admit it was seeing yours that made me take the plunge!

DeleteOh I love seeing one of those come to life! I have also downloaded the pattern but haven't started it yet. You remind me to go get it and put it in front of my nose so I won't forget :*)
ReplyDeleteIt is so adorable isn't it! So cute when it's done too :p
DeleteI don't think I have the patience for embroidery, but I sure do love to see someone else's work. It is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThanks Patti! It's a nice simple one to start with if you ever change your mind. :)
DeleteIt's beautiful! I'm thinking about doing some handwork soon. There is just something so peaceful about hand-stitching in front of the TV. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteSo true, I now crave nap time so I can squeeze in 30 mins of stitching in front of the tv. Thanks Melanie!
