A while a go I pinned this image of a quilt by Faith from Fresh Lemon Quilts. She had a quick "how to" on how she put these blocks together to make this quilt. It is a gorgeous quilt so I wanted to have a go. The only difference was that I had half a Giddy jelly roll staring at me, begging to be made into a quilt.
So I used it up. Sewed together the strips I had left, cut them into triangles and made up my blocks that way.
Not bad ay? The pink centre strip doesn't meet up exactly but you cant tell unless you stick your face right in there. I'm really happy how it turned out especially since there was no foundation piecing in site.
(I'll probably give that a go another time)

ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteI wish I'd done a recent jelly roll quilt this way! It really helps you focus on how it's coming together. My fabrics are a bit too busy and your eye doesn't settle anywhere.
