Grey and blue for our Little Man

Well our lil man is 5 weeks already. We're doing well. Just trying to soak up every moment, albeit with bags under our eyes and, this week, tissues in our hands. Though it does seem a little weird to be using words such as 'our son' and 'the kids', it always makes us smile and it feels like our little family is complete.
So I'm popping in quickly to share with you a quilt, with my bubba in one hand and the other hand on the keyboard.

I finished this quilt for our little man some time ago. (Can you tell with that huge crease in the middle of it???) I was in love with the blue and grey combo and I think it turned out pretty darn good.

With your help I decided to set them on point. The setting triangles are made up of scrappy nine patches sliced in half. I used a pale grey for the sashing and bound with more scrappy binding.

The back is a piece of the famous Ikea number fabric. How can you go wrong with $3.99 per metre for cotton 150cm wide fabric. Every time I'm in there I have to fight the urge to buy more of this stuff.

And of course being a quilter, one quilt is never enough. This makes 2 quilts for my lil man.

With many more in his future I'm sure. ;)
